I modeled these in Maya for the VR game Cliffstone Manor. The texturing was done with Substance Painter. They are fully interact able with animations, sound effects, and particles in the game.
I grew up in area that had a lot of these old Victorians. In the 80s, many were neglected and fell into ruin. Yet their intricate details and glass-work was still there to hint at the past glory of the house.
This mansion was modeled in Maya and was textured completely with repeating materials I created in Photoshop. The idea being that in an actual game engine, these materials could be used on many different building and props.
On my way to GDC in 2019, I saw a tired old BART car sitting off on a side track. I decided to model one and slightly re-brand it to the fictional BAY AREA CITY TRANSIT. Modeled in Maya and textured with Substance Painter.
